The Research Team

Michael Riquino, LCSW,

is the Principal Investigator of the ISH Study and a PhD candidate at the University of Utah College of Social Work. He has over 10 years of experience working with self-harming individuals and nearly 7 years of post-MSW experience providing therapy to individuals, groups, and families. He is conducting the ISH Study in fulfillment of his doctoral studies.

Dissertation Committee  

Michael's dissertation committee consists of faculty from the University of Utah College of Social Work, including Dr. Eric Garland (chair), Dr. Jaehee Yi, Dr. Charles Hoy-Ellis, Dr. Brad Lundahl, and Dr. Sheila Crowell from the University of Utah Department of Psychology.

Peer Debriefing Team

Michael's peer debriefing team consists of fellow doctoral students Sarah Priddy, LCSW, Van Nguyen, MSW, and Jen Molloy, MSW, whose respective research areas include maternal health and infant development, disproportionate minority contact within the juvenile justice system, and implementing restorative justice in educational settings. They will assist with data management and analysis.
